The day the equipment arrived
The
day the toys and equipment arrived was like Christmas
and birthday rolled into one!
When
Howard, Ian and Keeley arrived and asked us where we
would like the toys we suggested the sitting room and
before we knew it the room was full with boxes. Our two
babies had disappeared under piles of play equipment,
lights, musical instruments, feathers ribbons and so
much more. Each box was opened with more “oohs” and “aahs”,
we barely scratched the surface of all we had been
given.
Once
Howard, Ian and Keeley had gone we set about finding our
own favourite toys. I had located the Teletubbies and
Sharon found the CDs. We looked at each other as if to
say “shall we?” - moments later,
“Teletubbies the Album” was set up in the CD player, the
screen was up and our babies and my husband were lined
up as our audience.
The
music started “time for Teletubbies, time for
Teletubbies” and before we knew it Tinky Winky, Dipsy,
Laa-Laa and Po were doing their first live performance.
We
were no experts, had not rehearsed it, but our children
were more than happy with the performance. Sharon and I
were rolling on the floor with laughter trying to work
out how Lin and Howard sing, hold the Teletubbies in the
air and sign at the same time! We weren’t able to work
it out but I’m sure we will have great fun learning!
