Health Professional's Opinion

Baby Sensory is an outstanding example of a professional, resourceful and enjoyable baby development group. 

Babies and Parents attend this multi-sensory group with wide- eyed awe, any initial reluctance to participate is very quickly dispelled thanks to the enthusiasm and motivation of Lin and Howard the facilitators. Babies are encouraged to participate in a huge range of activities incorporating movement activities with visual, auditory and tactile stimuli. Additionally, signing is demonstrated so that parents can learn to support their baby's interaction and communication. 

Throughout the sessions Lin incorporates relevant and useful developmental theory to illustrate perfectly the stage at which a baby is functioning. This helps parents to understand what to expect from their babies and how best to facilitate their play and development.   

Professionally, I work in a healthcare setting with children who have profound special needs, in particular developmental delay. I will be using what I have learned from Lin and Howard to ensure the children and families that I treat have an opportunity to feel the sociable, stimulating and passionate experience that is Baby Sensory.
