Spaces are limited and have to be paid within 7
days of requesting a place, individuals as well
as groups can be catered for as extra classes
will be running. Places will be allocated on a
first come basis. Class cost per parent and baby
is £10

Baby Sensory award winning classes are now running in

Elaine Allan – Profile
Currently a midwife, I’ve been passionate about babies
since a little girl, prams and dolls were my favourite
plaything but then again play stations hadn’t yet been
invented thank goodness! I was without a doubt a very
maternal girl.
After leaving school I worked for Shell UK but always
felt that I was not quite on the correct career route.
In my early 20’s I did a course at college that was
based around the caring concept and the seed was sown.
Following my marriage I worked as a physiotherapist-aid
in my local hospital for mentally and physically
handicapped children and adults. I left there after my
second son was born to concentrate on family life.
When my daughter was 3 I decided to retrain. I gained a
GSVQ 111 with merit before going on too university to
gain a diploma in midwifery.
I have worked as a midwife ever since both in Scotland
and for a while at Guy’s and St Thomas in London. I
derive enormous job satisfaction from it. Despite the
long days and night shifts it is without doubt one of
the best jobs in the world!
Baby Sensory seems like a natural progression for me as
it allows me to continue working with parents and young
babies but to see them progress into receptive
stimulated little beings and see them grow a little
further along the line which is very exciting for me.
I look forward to welcoming new parents and babies to my
classes and joining parents in the joy of watching their
little ones progress and learn through the Baby Sensory
experience.
